I adore snails!
I hope you’ll forgive the comparison, but you often make me think of a snail and I mean that as the highest compliment.
Snails are creatures I love. They move gently through the world, unshowy and unhurried, but always with purpose. Slow, steadfast, focused. They get where they need to be, and they do exactly what they are meant to do, quietly holding the ecosystem together while others rush past.
That steadiness, that refusal to be knocked off course, reminds me of you. Especially in your clear, principled support and defence of the LGBTQ+ community. In a world that can be loud, sharp and impatient, your voice feels calm, grounded and brave. It matters more than you might realise.
